Comparison between segregation and filtering using a black-box inverter model

Résumé

Electrification of aircraft propulsion increases embedded power electronics and leads to reconsider specification and integration logic of power electronics systems. At the same time, aeronautics constraints, such as weight and volume, requires to wisely define segregation rules and avoid additional filters. These two solutions are compared through a practical case. To do so, a power chain is modelled and experimentally validated over different network impedances. Segregation and filtering values are defined to comply with victim susceptibility limit. At the end, the solutions are compared over different criteria.
