'Le prince' fêtera ses 500 ans. Réflexions sur la transgression théorique des normes du discours sur le politique : À l’occasion d’une parution récente

Abstract : Machiavelli’s Prince was finished in 1513. It remains one of the most important texts related to political thought. Written five hundred years ago, this work still invites the reader to reflect on politics and human behaviour. How does political philosophy value this document today? In order to give answers to this question, the philosopher and Member of the European Parliament Leonidas Donskis has edited an essay collection which deals with the key notions of Machiavellian thought. These scientific essays give a hint about the actual scope of Machiavelli’s approach.
