Tourisme de luxe et gastronomie de luxe : une nouvelle Sainte Alliance sur fond de patrimoines ?

Abstract : This article aims to show the relationship between luxury tourism and gastronomy, the study of which has been gradually abandoned in favour of popular gastronomy and mass tourism. The economic emergence of new countries, the advent of a class of rich households, the search of hedonic utilities and the affirmation of a new right to luxury tend however to massify luxury. The new international groups of luxury took this historic opportunity. They join luxury tourism and luxury gastronomy within luxury worlds based on their private brand heritages and the collective heritages of national and local gastronomies and tourisms.
