Procédé pour la polymérisation de chromènes par voie cationique

Abstract : The present invention relates to a process for the cationic polymerization of chromenes comprising the following steps: a) bringing a monomer comprising at least one chromene group into contact with a cationic initiator, optionally in combination with a co-initiator releasing free radicals by thermal decomposition, b) polymerization of the chromene and c) recovery of the polymer obtained. It also relates to the use of a cationic initiator, optionally in combination with a co-initiator releasing free radicals by thermal decomposition, to control and/or reduce the temperature at which polymerization begins of the chromene function of a monomer comprising at least one chromene group. Finally, it relates to a process for preparing a thermoset resin material comprising the following successive steps: A) implementation of the process according to the invention so as to obtain the thermoset resin material; B) recovery of the thermoset resin material obtained in step A).
