Le discours de la campagne présidentielle 2002 : les slogans des candidats

Abstract : In April 2002 there were 16 candidates for the presidential election in France, which was much more than usual. As a consequence of this, a clear presentation of each candidate became absolutely essential. From our point of view, political slogans are one of the keys for the candidate’s identification by the people, as they are present all along the campaign and somehow become the candidate’s signature. In the first part of this study, we give a general view of the slogans and in the second part we analyse individually some cases that seemed to us particularly interesting.
