Triterpenoid saponins from Silene coeli-rosa
Résumé
Five undescribed triterpenoid glycosides were isolated from the aerial parts of Silene coeli-rosa (L.) Godr. (1–5), together with two known saponins (6–7). Their structures were elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy (COSY, TOCSY, HSQC, HMBC and ROESY), as well as high resolution mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS) and acid hydrolysis. The isolated saponins comprised the gypsogenic acid, a typical aglycone of the Caryophyllaceae family. The trisacharide β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)[β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→6)]-β-d-glucopyranoside linked to C-28 of aglycone was common to all isolated compounds, whereas C-3 of aglycone was substituted by a β-d-glucopyranosyl as in 1–2, a β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-d-glucopyranoside as in 3,4 and 7 or a β-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-d-glucopyranoside as in 5–6.
